One of the critical questions that predicts employee engagement is, "Do I have a best friend at work?" Yet, leaders often feel that these personal connections are outside of their control, and consequently they miss opportunities to build relationships.
This session will help managers and talent development professionals improve employee engagement through affinity building. You will learn and practice affinity-building skills that sustain organizational culture, foster collaboration, and strengthen teams.
These affinity-building skills will make you more effective in almost any context. Whether you are a manager in need of team-building, a trainer that wants to build relationships in the classroom, an organization development leader that seeks to improve culture, or a professional looking to grow your own career through better relationships, this session is for you.
Betsy Rozelle, author of the book Seeking Common Bonds, is an enthusiastic trainer and public speaker. She’s also the VP of Programming for the Northeast WI chapter of Association for Talent Development. After several years in the chamber of commerce field, sales, and non-profit administration and grantmaking, she started Rozelle Communication, LLC and created the Build Affinity Workshops to help people create success through effective relationship building.
