With more than 15 years of business management, marketing, and leadership experience in the sports broadcasting, financial services, health care, information technology, and human resources industries, Andy draws on his knowledge and experiences to help managers sharpen their leadership skills and business acumen. As a former graduate- and undergraduate-level business and marketing instructor, Andy discovered his passion for adult learning through fun, interactive, “real world” education. Andy's love of leadership development led him to his current role as a full-time talent development instructor in MRA—The Management Association's Institute of Management. Whether he is working with first-time supervisors, or seasoned leaders seeking continuous skill-set improvement, Andy makes the learning experience one that is measurable, memorable, and motivational. Andy holds a masters in business administration and a bachelors in organizational communication. Andy served as President-Elect for two years prior to his election as association President.
Dana Peters is the CEO of Mondo Learning Solutions. She has spent the past 20 years in leadership roles implementing strategic plans and leading solutions based sales, service, and business development initiatives. Consulting with corporate learning & development leaders to understand their unique needs in the virtual learning space, Dana connects them with the highest quality experts and niche training firms.
Before establishing Mondo Learning Solutions, Dana spent 15 years in executive roles within the credit union industry. Today, based on current trends, she has taken a special interest in the possibilities that eLearning and virtual learning bring to the workplace. Since Mondo’s inception, Dana has worked with clients to facilitate and produce high quality Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) sessions, in addition to providing coaching, consulting, and support to those new to the VILT environment. Dana holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and Sociology from St. Ambrose University.
Laura Chartier transitioned to instructional design, eLearning design, and corporate training development after a long career in education. Since joining SEWI-ATD, Laura has improved the quality and content of our newsletter and website. Laura holds a Master of Education from National-Lewis University, majoring in Curriculum and Instruction. Laura also is a graduate of University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, graduating with a degree in Education. Laura also attended University of Wisconsin, Parkside where she majored in Geology and Earth Science Education.
Laura has numerous certifications for a variety of technical communication software and skills. In 2016 and 2017, Laura was responsible for our chapter incorporating and promoting technology in her previous role as VP of Communications. Laura currently works as the Clinical Systems Coordinator and Principal EHR Trainer for Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division.
Bob Von Der Linn, CPLP, has been practicing human resource development and process improvement for over twenty-five years with organizations such as Grumman, Brookhaven National Laboratories, and General Electric. Bob joined GE in 1997 as part of the development team for GE’s first enterprise-wide web-based e-learning application, and went on to roles at GE’s Crotonville Leadership Development Center and with GE Capital.
After parting ways with GE in April 2009, Bob became president and principal consultant for Change Leadership Resources, LLC – bringing expertise in change management, performance development, and technology-enabled learning to clients around the country. Bob has been a member of the Southeast Wisconsin ATD Chapter since 2008.
Laura Bunte - VP Technology Services
Laura brings more than 20 years of consulting and management experience both as a practitioner, manager, and learning leader with many Fortune 500 national and global companies. She has worked in a variety of industries, including professional consulting, learning services, telecommunications, medical, medical devices, pharmaceutical, and utilities.Laura holds a Master's degree in Education, majoring in Instructional Technology from Northern Illinois University. Laura was an active leader in the Chicago Chapter of ATD and currently serves on the Board for SEWI-ATD as the VP of Technology for its members.
Meica is passionate about helping people contribute to their organizations and brings 8 years of experience in human resources, talent management, and adult education. As the Vice President - Talent Management with EDGE, she helps clients across industries equip their employees for success through the development and integration of aligned training solutions. Outside of the profession, Meica serves the community through teaching human resource management, business ethics, career development, and GED preparation courses.
Meica earned a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management and Organizational Leadership and Change from National University and Master of Science in Administrative Leadership and Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.. Meica is certified in SLII, Everything DiSC, and the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.
Colin Hahn - VP Professional Development
Colin J. Hahn is an expert at designing training experiences that result in behavioral change. As the Director of Talent Development for Leadership Ecademy, he has led leadership training programs that result in over 90% of the participants successfully using their new skills in the workplace, with dramatic business results.
Colin is passionate about helping people master new skills and has built his career around helping organizations solve their talent development challenges. He has over 10 years of experience in training, program development, and coaching. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Marquette University and earned his B.A. (Honors) from Gonzaga University.
Matt Meuleners - Vice President Community Relations
Matt Meuleners has more than 18 years of experience as a Talent Development professional. He is a leadership trainer who is known for his ability to drill into an organization’s challenges. As Executive Partner with FOCUS Training, Matt focuses on corporate leadership and new product development. His specialties are: Training program design and delivery, consulting on leadership development and training, development of corporate mentoring programs, training audits, presentation skills coaching.
Matt holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, School of Business Administration.
Mark Brewer - Vice President, Special Projects
Mark is a Talent Development professional with over 25 years of corporate experience. After a short career as a high school English teacher Mark earned a master’s degree in Instructional Design at Florida State University and began his corporate career at Arthur Andersen designing operational and interpersonal skills training for the Audit practice. By the time he moved to Motorola University his focus had turned primarily to Management and Leadership development. With Kohl’s Department Stores Mark was engaged in management training, performance management process, talent management and succession planning strategy, and executive coaching and development.
Currently Mark serves as an adjunct instructor for UW’s Center for Professional and Executive Development and a Senior Learning Consultant with The CARA Group. His professional passion is helping business leaders become more confident and more proficient in developing their organizations’ talent.
Lovina Akowuah - Vice President, Communication
Lovina is a Learning and Development Consultant with 10+ years experience and also the founder of LBA Consulting. She serves her clients in the areas of Instructional Design, Motivational Speaking, Facilitation and Coaching. She is the author of “Unleash your Greatness,” which is a Personal Development and Motivational Book.
Lovina has extensive experience designing and facilitating training programs within the Big-4, insurance, and technology industries as well as designing and delivering training for sales and customer service associates.
Lovina received her undergraduate education in the United Kingdom at the University of East London, where she completed a degree in Business Administration. Additionally, Lovina successfully earned her Masters of Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck NJ.
