Wisconsin Chapters Joint Programming Event!

We all know the oldest way to transfer knowledge, skills, cultural norms, beliefs, and values is via exceptional storytelling. But what is it about stories that have made them so successful in transferring learning throughout history? Much of it comes from storytelling’s appeal to the senses—the human experience. In this program, we’ll explore how to use stories to connect on a personal level: to experience, to learn, and possibly to even rethink one’s assumptions.

Northeast Wisconsin Chapter has been pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute to offer educational programs that can be used towards initial eligibility and recertification of the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credentials. This program qualifies for a maximum of 1 points.

Learning Objectives:

  • Unlock the power of vivid storytelling (planned or spontaneous) to unleash classroom engagement and workplace application

  • Realize the importance of participant involvement to make the stories come alive on an individual level

  • Consider strategies that that turn stories into transferable skills
