Strategies for Fostering a Safe and Inclusive Learning Environment
This impactful session with Matt Meuleners invites L&D professionals to examine the assumptions and mental shortcuts that can unintentionally shape our instructional design and facilitation choices. Through facilitated discussion and shared practice, participants will explore practical strategies for building psychologically safe, inclusive learning spaces. The session introduces tools such as the Ladder of Inference to help practitioners audit their design and delivery for hidden biases, create intentional “speed bumps” in their thinking, and make more conscious choices that reduce barriers to learning.
