Based on the ASTD Competency Model, the ATD Certification Institute (ATD CI) built the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential to provide a way for talent development (TD) professionals to prove their worth to employers and to be confident in their knowledge of the field.

The CPLP is a prestigious certification with only about 1,800 people certified in the United States.

Erin Brady joined U.S. Bancorp Fund Services, LLC in 2004 and later earned her Master’s Degree in Instructional Design from Alverno College. She became a Training Manager in 2009 and earned her CPLP in 2011. She finds designing and developing curriculum for employees very rewarding. “There is so much information out there. It’s essential that it is gathered, organized, and transferred to employees in a meaningful way so they can be successful,” says Erin.
